Yael Schnell
Yael Schnell was born in Haifa, Israel. From 1994 to 2002, she was a member of the Batsheva Dance Company and worked with William Forsythe, Jiří Kylián, Amanda Miller, Ohad Naharin, Angelin Preljocaj, Tero Saarinen and Wim Vandekeybus, among others. After moving to Berlin in 2002 she worked as a freelance dancer with various choreographers, including Paul Selwyn Norton, Sharon Paz, Jörg Schiebe and Christoph Winkler and has also developed and performed her own works, such as »O’ Sullivan« and »it looks like it’s going to be a long day«.
Since 2007 she has been working with the company Sasha Waltz & Guests on numerous pieces in which she has also performed. Yael is a certified Gaga teacher and has a degree in sociology.
