Agnieszka Jachym
A dancer, choreographer who graduated from the Ballet Studio of Krakow Opera and the Ludomir Rozycki State Ballet School in Bytom. After receving her professional dancer diploma in 2012, she participated in the dance projects of temporaere theater in Berlin and Dresden; performed »No Sacre« by Ismael Ivo during ImpulsTanz and in Sao Paulo. In years 2014-2017, she danced in Tanzcompagnie Giessen. In 2018, there was a premiere of her own dance theater piece »Getto krakowskie« in Teatr Nowy Proxima. She performed in »solar storm« by Johannes Wieland and in the opera »Alcina« by Christof Loy at the Staatsoper Hamburg. She won the Second prize with her solo »Naj« at the International Dance Theaters Festival OPEN STAGE 2018. The work was presented during Solo Dance Contest in Gdańsk in 2019, as well as during 23rd International Dance Theatre Festival in Lublin.
In years 2019-2021, she worked in the Polish Dance Theater as a dancer and coordinator of the EU project »CLASH! When classic and contemporary collide and new forms emerge«. In the PDT, she created a choreography »[dis]solution« with J. Kaźmierczak and Z. Kocięba for Balletto di Roma. In 2022, she received the Creative Scholarship of the City of Krakow for the production of dance theatre piece »The HUNGRY Ones«, which premiered at the Łanźnia Nowa Theatre. Since 2021, she has been cooperating with Sasha Waltz & Guests.
