Ichiro Sugae
Ichiro Sugae is a dancer born 1990 in Japan. His dance training began at Noism2 under the direction of Jo Kanamori. In Japan, he worked with several choreographers including Yoshifumi Inao, Shintaro Hirahara, Toshiko Oka, Satoshi Kudo and Yuki Yamada. In 2016, he took the workshop by Angélica Liddell in Tokyo and joined her company Atra Bilis Teatro/Angélica Liddell in Madrid for the production »¿Qué haré yo con esta espada?« premiered in Avignon Festival and »Una costilla sobre la mesa: Madre« with Ninõ de Elche. Since leaving Japan, he has freelanced with various directors and choreographers in Europe, among others Rui Horta, Helena Waldmann, Saju Hari and Saar Magal. Since 2020 he has collaborated with Emanuel Gat and joined the production »Lovetrain2020«, »Act2&3« and »Träume«. Since 2021 he has worked with Sasha Waltz & Guests.
