Tobias Koch
Tobias Koch (born 1986, Basel) is a Swiss composer and sound artist who works across the fields of performance, visual arts, film and music. His works have been presented at venues including the Unsound Festival, the Venice Biennale, the Biennale Son, the Serralves Museum in Porto, the Palazzo delle Esposizioni in Rome, the Centre Culturel Suisse in Paris, and various institutions across Europe. He has also composed music for works exhibited at venues including MoMA in New York, documenta 14, the Frieze Art Fair, the Tate Modern, the Centre Pompidou and the Swiss Institute in New York. His sound design and musical compositions have featured in several award-winning films screened at the Cannes Film Festival, the Berlinale, the Locarno Film Festival and the Toronto International Film Festival. His most recent film score for the feature film »Drii Winter (A Piece Of Sky)« was awarded the Georges Delerue Prize, and the film was Switzerland’s official entry for the 2023 Oscars.
