»Finding the Moving Self: thinking, moving, performing« / with Luis A. Lara Malvacias / ATTENTION, new times: 7. - 11. July 2025, 10 am - 2 pm / Studio A, Radialsystem / for professional dancers

This year again we have the pleasure to welcome Luis A. Lara Malvacias in Berlin: he will give a 5 days-workshop in our rehearsal space at Radialsystem.

About the workshop:

This class presents the participants with questions and inquiries about the practice of improvising. Starting with simple exercises, the class incorporates a variety of approaches to develop awareness and our own understanding of when and how we move; of our individual movement choices; of sensing and responding to our impulses and the space; and of the ways we use our energy when we move. These approaches will include the use of images (anatomical and from the surrounding space); hands-on work; and words and situations that trigger impulses to create movement. Finding the Moving Self encourages the participants to be curious, to take risks, and to look into the relationship between thinking, processing, moving, making and performing. ​
