»Zweiland« again at Radialsystem from December 10 to 13
Fiery dance and poetic imagery: against the backdrop of a symbolic wall, rhythmic, high-energy movement sequences illuminate the pulsating atmosphere of a street. Sasha Waltz’s piece »Zweiland« (1997) is almost 30 years young. In the fast-paced and surreal choreography set to »Pictures from Germany« – and exploring borders and the act of overcoming them – everyday situations, pushed to the point of absurdity, meet character studies and fairy-tale-like imagery. The piece is almost prophetically titled »Zweiland« rather than »Einland«. This spectacular, multi-layered favourite production was presented at Radialsystem in August 2026 for the first time in 10 years – a new generation of dancers will propel the iconic piece into the here and now again from 10 to 13 December.
