A new format of »Education & Community«

Move your Kiez

Do you like to dance or have you always wanted to try it out? Do you enjoy learning new moves or teaching them to others? Have you always wanted to develop a piece and show it on stage? Do you want to get to know the everyday life of a professional contemporary dance company?
Come by and bring your friends!

With the participatory project »Move Your Kiez - Spandau«, the Compagnie Sasha Waltz & Guests will initiate a dance programme in Spandau Wilhelmstadt in 2024 and 2025 in collaboration with local actors.
From the very beginning, young people will be involved in all phases of the artistic process – including the opportunity to develop their own piece and present it to an audience in 2025. They can also get involved behind the scenes and thus gain a comprehensive insight into the everyday life of a professional dance company and its various fields of work.
The aim is to establish the dance programme beyond 2025 and to strengthen the local (dance) community.
The starting point is the Wilhelmstadt district.

You can just come along to the weekly classes. No previous experience is necessary.
