Showing Children's and Youth Dance Company 2026
»Funke«
In their new piece, the youngest dancers (aged 6–8) explore the element of fire and open this year’s showings with a dynamic dance that will have sparks flying.
»Rain«
In their new piece »Rain«, children aged 9 to 11 explore the diversity of rain: gentle and playful or wild and powerful – bringing the rain to life on stage.
»BOLERO«
This year, the young people (aged 12–14) have explored Maurice Ravel’s masterpiece »Bolero« and interpret it from their own perspective using a language all of their own. »BOLERO« transforms repetition into a space of perception; dance becomes a journey into the self, into one’s own changing body.
»SPLITTER & GANZ«
In »SPLITTER & GANZ«, around 30 dancers from the youth dance company (aged 14+) embark on an embodied quest for identity, belonging and self-determination. Individual stories and collective experiences intertwine, revealing how identity is shaped by origin, environment and social structures, whilst remaining in a state of constant flux.
