Training: Contemporary Dance mit Andrea Valenti
This class explores floorwork techniques with a focus on fluid, spiraling transitions to and from the floor. The session emphasizes the efficient use of the whole body, minimizing unnecessary muscle tension and tailoring movements to each dancer’s unique physicality and natural movement patterns. Additionally, my ongoing research incorporates acrobatic elements into the Flying Low vocabulary, expanding its expressive potential. Over the course of the week, dancers will progress to Contact Improvisation (CI) and partnering work. Participants will be introduced to efficient, dynamic tools that facilitate seamless collaboration in pairs and groups. Through a series of carefully crafted exercises, dancers will deepen their understanding of weight, trust, communication, and clarity between movers. These skills will organically evolve into more dynamic and acrobatic movement patterns, fostering a vibrant, continuous flow of connection.
