Open Studio weekend in may

Our monthly Open Studio weekend is awaiting! On Saturday 10h of May we are excited to present the 11th edition of Open Studio: Stage. On Sunday 11th of May we invite you to join our open jam format Open Studio: Jam (formerly: OPEN STUDIO).

Open Studio: Stage #11
Saturday, May 10, 2025
Studio A, Radialsystem, Berlin

»Open Studio: Stage« is a format with which we want to give the creative potential of the Berlin dance scene space and a stage: We invite all kinds of performing artists (from dance, theatre, performance, etc.) to present a short piece (max. 10 min.) in front of an audience in Studio A. Each edition will conclude with a short group improvisation with all artists. At the end, there will be a feedback format between participants and the audience.

Participate as a performer: Your performance can be improvised and spontaneous, but you can also present an ongoing research or a short piece in any constellation - solo or group. You can apply for a slot at any time by sending a short description and CV to laszlo@sashawaltz.de. This edition is already full, but you are welcome to apply for upcoming »Open Studio: Stage« events

Open Studio: Jam
Sunday, May 11th 2025
5 - 7 pm
Studio A, Radialsystem, Berlin

Almost every month, the project »Open Studio: Jam« (formerly »OPEN STUDIO«) by Sasha Waltz & Guests invites artists of all disciplines into the company’s Studio on the 5th floor at Berlin’s Radialsystem for a collective session of free improvisation (2 hours). Artists from Berlin and beyond, experienced or newcomers, from the creative disciplines of dance, music, visual art, drama, singing, philosophy, etc. can join in an open process without registration and at any point of time. »Open Studio: Jam« is a space to meet – it provides a free environment for an inclusive creative practice, for the exchange of all different forms of artistic knowledge, for collective research and creation and the exploration of new perspectives. Just drop by and create together!

We regularly inform about future workshops and formats here on our website, on Instagram or in our newsletter.
