Intensive Training: »Creative Educational Movement & Composition« with Davide Camplani

The morning training of Creative Educational Movement is based on deepening the knowledge of ones own body and understanding the infinite possibilities of a more conscious function.

The attempt is to move from a mindset of obligation to a listening of the experience of the new day. Personal dynamics are transformed by identifying unknown internal forces and energies.

The creative movement process is closely linked to the idea of a thinking body: motor intelligence is in constant transformation and evolution. 

The work will be divided into 3 parts:

–   Practical exercises to prepare one's bone and muscle structure             in contact with the wall and floor.

–   Proposal of a path to bring the body from horizontal reality (»lying down«) to the verticality of the bone structure itself (»standing up«).

–  Practice of personal movement composition oriented towards the use of the available space.

Biography:

Born in Marone, Italy. Former primary school teacher for nine years in the province of Brescia. He studied contemporary dance with Giulia Gussago, Claudio Gasparotto, and at the Folkwang-Hochschule in Essen, where he graduated in 1999. Certified as a teacher in Gyrokinesis Level I, he also studied Klein Technique with Susan Klein and Hanna Hagenscheidt. From 1999 to 2021, he was an ensemble member of Sasha Waltz & Guests, participating in numerous film and theatre productions as well as educational projects. He co-directed the children and youth dance company of Sasha Waltz & Guests for 15 years and co-directed the project »Amal« with Medhat Aldabaal and Syrian artists. Since 2015, he has collaborated with writer and dancer Laura Aimo in Milan. In 2024 he lead and developed the project »Hier und jetzt, der Körper spricht« at the University of Music, Theater, and Media Hanover (HMTMH) with second-year acting students, featuring music by Jonas Mohr. In 2023, he founded Creative Educational Movement, offering since individual sessions and group workshops in Germany and Italy.
