Travelogue III – All Ways Six Steps

In the third and last part of the »Travelogue trilogy« »All ways six steps«, the interior becomes even smaller and more intimate: Sasha Waltz and her guests now lead us into a bedroom that resembles a life-size doll's house and offers hardly any space to dance. In the stage design this is contrasted by an inner courtyard on two levels. The formal starting point is the combination of three duets: two women, two men, a man and a woman, who also collide in group scenes. The American composer Tristan Honsinger on the cello, who also composed the original music for the other two Travelogue productions, and the Senegalese singer Mola Sylla take on the role of narrators, who in the end become part of the story themselves.
