RADIKAL – Contemporary Dance from Brussels
In the last few years Brussels has transformed itself into an exciting laboratory for international dance productions. The dance and performance scene of the Belgian capital offers fruitful grounds for new, emerging talents and stands out for its openness, internationality and zest for the experimental. The festival RADIKAL, under the patronage of Sasha Waltz, gathers more than 20 young dancers and choreographers from ten different countries living and working in Brussels. They will in particular present new creations, current trends and developments in the Brussels’ dance scene showcasing all their diversity and radicality. The program consists of a total of eight performances along with a participative performance. Furthermore, the two-day Festival offers an informal exchange between proponents of the Belgian and German dance scene and its interested audience.
