From 11 to 20 February 2022 we will continue our online program with a recording of Sasha Waltz‘ choreographic opera »Matsukaze« from La Monnaie in Brussels (2017), which will be available free of charge for ten days on our You Tube channel.
On January 16, 18 and 19 Sasha Waltz' first choreographic opera »Dido & Aeneas« will be performed again at Staatsoper Unter den Linden in Berlin – ticket sale has started.
From December 10 to 12, 2021, »In C« by Sasha Waltz & Guests for the first time was performed with live music played by the New York collective »Bang on a Can All-Stars«. The performance on December 12 was broadcast on a livestream on our YouTube channel where it will be available until January 11, 2022.
On November 24th and 25th we will be coming to Sofia for the first time with Sasha Waltz‘ classic »Allee der Kosmonauten« by invitation of the ACT Festival, the Goethe-Institut Bulgaria and the newly founded centre for contemporary arts Toplocentrala. The production is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year and in current times is more up-to-date than ever. Tickets are now available.
Tonight the evening »Dialogues« packed with duets from outstanding international choreographers will receive its world premiere. Part of it: A duet from »Impromptus« by Sasha Waltz danced by Claudia de Serpa Soares and Gyung Moo Kim.
On November 5th and 6th we will be coming to Leipzig for the first time in the frame of the renowned festival euro-scene Leipzig, with Sasha Waltz‘ classic »Allee der Kosmonauten«. The production is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year and in current times is more up-to-date than ever. On November 5th the festival will also screen the documentary »Sasha Waltz - A Portrait« by Brigitte Kramer at the Passage Kinos in Leipzig which gives detailed insights into the work of the Berlin based choreographer. Tickets are now available.
After a successfull live Berlin premiere of Sasha Waltz & Guests' »In C«, the project will now be touring to Munich and will be performed at Muffathalle on October 5th and 6th. Tickets are available via the website of the Muffatwerk.
Together with Berlin Mondiale Sasha Waltz & Guests I Education & Community closes its open air season 2021 with two dance workshops in the beautiful autumn garden of Nachbarschaftscampus Dammweg. Dance with us under open sky or in the glass houses and let’s celebrate the last warm days and good Berlin neighbourhood! No previous knowledge required, just interest in moving together as a group.
On the evening of September 15th 2021 passersby in Berlin spontaneously had the possibility to experience the dance company Sasha Waltz & Guests pop up at the terrace of the Neue Nationalgalerie with »In C«.
On March 6th 2021 »In C« was performed for the first time in an online premiere on a livestream from the radialsystem in Berlin to the sounds of a recording by »Bang on a Can«. Now the choreography will finally celebrate its live premiere in front of the Berlin audience: From September 24th through 26th at the radialsystem, ticket sales are open.
