Sasha Waltz's classic »Körper« will return to Berlin after six years and numerous performances abroad. From 23rd to 27th the piece will be shown at Haus der Berliner Festspiele. Advanced ticket sale has begun!

With the latest edition of ZUHÖREN, Sasha Waltz & Guests opens up a »third dimension« for art and politics on June 18 and 19, 2016. In view of the current situation of war, terrorism, escaping and the need for civic engagement, Sasha Waltz invites international artists, journalists and human rights activists to enter into dialogue with one another in the course of three discussions on the topics of film, literature and political participation. What artistic and journalistic strategies do we have at our disposal to exert political influence? Improvisations with company dancers and musicians, such as Burak Özdemir, Michael Rauter, Bob Rutman, Grégoire Simon and Robyn Schulkowsky form the artistic program, accompanied by concerts, films, installations, Syrian food and workshops for kids.
On the occasion of »Dido & Aeneas« from 7. - 12. June 2016 at Teatro Colon in Buenos Aires we took a look at the first programme produced for the world premiere 2005 and found this interview by James Woodall writing about the work of Sasha Waltz in general.

The 30. April and 1. Mai 2016 the classic »Travelogue I - Twenty to eight« will be performed in the frame of the International Dance and Theatre Festival at E-Werk Freiburg.
Sasha Waltz is particularly concerned with taking care of the repertory - understood as a living archive - in addition to creating new formats and productions. For this reason, we are pleased to transfer two dance pieces by Sasha Waltz to other companies this year. Under the guidance of the company dancers and Sasha Waltz, the Royal Swedish Ballet Stockholm learned the choreography of »Körper« and now the Ballet of the Dutch National Opera Amsterdam will undertake »Roméo et Juliette«.
Sasha Waltz & Guests was invited by the Staatsoper Hannover to show »Sacre« in the frame of Oster-Tanz-Tage 2016. On Saturday, 26. March the evening in three parts will be performed at Opernhaus Hannover. The show is already sold out.
