Sasha Waltz & Guests brings the new piece by Swedish Performance artist Charlotte Engelkes for the German premiere to Berlin's radialsystem in February 2020.
Sasha Waltz & Guests' latest production »rauschen« (world premiere March 7th at Volksbühne Berlin) will be on tour for the first time. On January 30th, 31st as well as February 1st and 2nd the production will be staged at Kampnagel Hamburg.
»Zuhören #4: Climate change & democracy - From complexity to action« took place at the radialsystem from December 13th to15th 2019 - and what a weekend it was. We thank all the participants and guests for three days full of new impulses and inspiring encounters.
»From complexity to action«: The fourth edition of »Zuhören - Dritter Raum für Kunst und Politik« seeks out new and current challenges: after three editions in 2016 and 2017 dealt with active listening, migration and committed communities, the focus is now on the pressing issues of climate change and democracy.
Sasha Waltz’ choreography »Körper« (2000) in 2019 already travelled to Singapore and Portland, Orgeon in the US. Towards the end of the year the production can now be seen during the Festival de Danse in Cannes.
Sasha Waltz‘ first choreographic opera »Dido & Aeneas« by Henry Purcell returns to the Staatsoper Unter den Linden Berlin in summer 2019, where the new cast of singers will have their Berlin debut on August 18th under the musical direction of Christopher Moulds.
Sasha Waltz & Guests is continuing its collaboration with the Volksbühne Berlin: The new project »rauschen«, which premiered at the Volksbühne in March, will be performed again from October 24th through 27th. Ticket sales are now open at the box office and online.
Sasha Waltz’ choreography »Körper« (2000) celebrated its 200th performance in Berkeley, California during a US-tour of the company in October 2018. Now Sasha Waltz & Guests is bringing the production back to the US performing for the first time at the festival »White Bird« in Portland, Oregon.
